Bean Shot Rush weekly race: terms and conditions. Version 1.
1. Who runs it. The promoter is The Artist Studio, The Old Mermaid, South Street, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3LU (“we”). Prizes are provided by Bean Shot, 3 Johnsons Courtyard, South Street, Sherborne DT9 3TD. Questions and complaints: hello@theartiststudio.agency. By submitting a run you agree to these terms; the key terms above are part of them.
2. Who can enter. UK residents aged 16 or over when they submit a run. Staff of Bean Shot and The Artist Studio, and their households, cannot enter. Play your own runs yourself, and use one username only.
3. How to enter. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Play a Time Trial on the current week’s race route on this page (the QR code on the Bean Shot cup is one way here), then choose a username, confirm you meet clause 2 and submit. Practice mode and other routes do not count. You need an internet connection to start and to submit a run. You may give an email address or phone number so we can tell you if you win; this is optional.
4. Dates. Each week runs from 00:00:00 on Monday to 23:59:59 on Sunday, UK time. The first week starts on Monday 12 October 2026 and the final week closes at 23:59:59 on Sunday 31 January 2027. A run counts for a week only if it was started in that week and reaches our server within 5 minutes of the closing time; our server’s clock decides. The leaderboard starts again every Monday.
5. Entries. Submit as many runs as you like; only your fastest checked run each week counts. We limit how often runs can be sent, to protect the service. You can win no more than one prize in any week.
6. Usernames. Your username appears publicly on the leaderboard and in the winner announcement. Don’t use your full real name, anyone else’s name, a brand name, contact details, or anything offensive or misleading. Each username belongs to one player. Usernames are screened automatically, and we may hide or replace any that break this clause.
7. Checking times. Our server checks every run: that it began with a valid start code for that week’s route, that its time matches the time our server recorded, that its path is possible within the game’s rules, that all six deliveries were made in order and the finish reached, and that spill penalties were applied. A person watches the replays of the fastest ten runs each week before a winner is confirmed. We may disqualify a run or entrant where we have reasonable grounds to believe the game or its connection was interfered with, the run was played or assisted by software or automation, more than one identity was used for advantage, or clause 2 was not met. If you gave a contact we will tell you why, and you may ask for a second review within 7 days.
8. The winner. Each week the winner is the entrant with the fastest checked time on that week’s route. Equal times go to the run our server accepted first. The reserve is the next fastest checked time from a different person.
9. The prize. One free coffee (any hot drink from the Bean Shot menu) each week. It must be collected in person at Bean Shot during opening hours. No cash alternative; it cannot be transferred or exchanged. If it becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control we will provide an alternative of equal or greater value.
10. Announcement and claiming. We announce each week’s winning username, time and route code on this page by 12 noon on the Monday after the week closes. The winner’s claim code appears in the game on the device and browser used for the winning run; if a contact was given, we send one message. Show the claim code at the Bean Shot counter within 14 days of the announcement; the window is extended by any days Bean Shot is closed, including over Christmas and New Year. Staff check the code and mark it used. If the prize is not claimed in time it is offered to the reserve, who then has 14 days.
11. Publicity. We publish the winning username and time only. We will not use winners in any other publicity unless they separately agree.
12. Your data. We use your data only to run this competition, never for marketing. Contacts are deleted for everyone except the winner and reserve when each week is confirmed, and for them within 60 days of the week’s close. See the privacy notice below and our privacy policy.
13. Changes. We may suspend, change or end the competition only if something beyond our reasonable control makes it impossible to run fairly. If we do, we will explain on this page, award prizes for any week already closed, and not change the terms in a way that disadvantages people who have already entered.
14. Liability and law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited or affects your statutory rights. We are not responsible for problems with your own device, browser or connection. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. You can also complain to the Advertising Standards Authority about the competition’s advertising.
