Business websites
Give people a clear picture of who you are, what you offer and how to take the next step. We create responsive marketing and brochure sites, with useful content and search-friendly structure considered from the start.
The Artist Studio / Sherborne
A website that feels like your business. And makes the next step easy. We design new sites, online shops and thoughtful refreshes for businesses ready for what’s next.
Based on South Street in Sherborne, we design and build websites for independent businesses across Dorset, Somerset and the UK. From a first launch to an established business’s next chapter, we bring design, content and usability together.
01 / What we build
Explain your offer. Bring in enquiries. Sell your products. The purpose shapes the structure, the design and the platform we recommend.
Give people a clear picture of who you are, what you offer and how to take the next step. We create responsive marketing and brochure sites, with useful content and search-friendly structure considered from the start.
Make your products easy to explore and buy. From theme customisation to a more bespoke store, we plan the customer journey alongside the practical details: product information, variants, payments and shipping.
One page with a clear job to do. A focused destination for a launch, a campaign or paid advertising, built around the information people need and the action you want them to take.
Work out the journey before the styling. We plan what belongs on each page, how visitors move between them and where enquiries or sales might be getting stuck. Useful for new builds and existing websites.
02 / Already have a website?
Your business may have moved on. Your website can move with it.
We’ll look at what you already have before recommending a rebuild. Sometimes a focused update makes more sense: clearer messaging, better photography, a simpler route to enquire or a design that reflects the business today.
We also work on existing WordPress websites, including development, new pages, updates, performance and ongoing maintenance. Tell us what’s working and what you’d like to change.
Talk through my website →03 / The right foundations
We’ll recommend a platform around what you need now, how you want to manage the site and where you expect the business to go. That includes your content, product range, integrations and ongoing costs.
Already using WordPress? We can discuss improvements to the site you have.
Platform billing and access stay in your name. We show you how to manage everyday content at handover, with ongoing help available if you’d prefer us to handle updates.
04 / Website pricing
Every website has a different scope. Pages, products, custom features, copy and photography all influence the price. Our interactive guide gives you a broad starting point; a bespoke quote follows the conversation.
Hosting, domains, paid apps and any other external costs are separate. We’ll explain what applies to your project before you commit.
Your website / Your guide
All prices include VAT. Indicative ranges, with the final scope and price agreed together.
05 / From conversation to launch
You’ll work directly with the team creating your website. We agree the scope, responsibilities and timings at the start, so you know what happens next.
Most projects take around four to ten weeks. A focused landing page can be quicker; a larger shop or complex build may take longer. Content and approvals are part of the plan.
Explore our website work →Your audience, your offer and what the website should achieve. We look at the existing site too, if you have one.
Agree the pages, content and customer journey, then develop a design that feels right for your brand.
Bring the design to life and check the agreed features and key journeys across screen sizes before launch.
Show you how to make everyday updates and agree any support you’d like after the site goes live.
Beyond the build
A strong identity, useful content and good photography help a website tell your story. Once it’s live, search and advertising can help bring people to it. We can connect those pieces around your priorities.
The cost depends on the scope: page layouts, e-commerce, features and the content you need. Our website, branding and marketing price guide shows broad ranges with VAT included. We’ll tailor a quote to your brief, including smaller updates and bespoke work.

Yes. We can plan those alongside the website, rather than leaving you to gather everything yourself. We’ll agree what you already have, what needs creating and what’s included in the proposal.
We consider structure and search fundamentals during the build, but a new site alone doesn’t guarantee rankings or traffic. Ongoing visibility also depends on useful content, competition and the work you put into search. We can discuss SEO support as part of the wider plan.
